Gardasil’s Birthday Blues: June 8, 2006 – June 8, 2014

Gardasil’s Birthday Blues: June 8, 2006 – June 8, 2014

June 8th, is an especially auspicious day; it’s the eighth anniversary of the U.S. FDA approving the first HPV vaccine, Merck and Company’s Gardasil®.

Along with December 7, 1941, which is known as a “day that will live in infamy,” [1] perhaps Gardasil’s approval date, June 8, 2006, should become another day of infamy, especially for the medical profession and the pharmaceutical industry. Why? Because, in this writer’s opinion, the HPV vaccine ‘concept’ has amounted to nothing short of a biblical plague for thousands who have been and are being harmed by it, rather than the supposed benefits it’s purported to accrue, which apparently have not been substantiated.

According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, DO,

As Bidini points out, this reduction in HPV prevalence can NOT be claimed to be due to the effectiveness of HPV vaccinations. On the contrary, the data clearly shows [sic] that it was the unvaccinated girls in this group that had the best outcome! [5]

Dr. Mercola is referring to the Sharlene Bidini, RD, CSO, critique of an article about the effectiveness of the HPV vaccines published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases titled “Reduction in Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Prevalence Among Young Women Following HPV Vaccine Introduction in the United States, National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys, 2003–2010.” Ms. Bidini is an oncology dietitian who, apparently, pointed out several – and significant – discrepancies in the published article.

Furthermore, let’s not forget to remember the young women whose lives have been changed dramatically either by death or adverse reactions, which apparently left them shadows of their former selves.

According to SaneVax, Inc.’s website, the following Gardasil® statistics are taken from the U.S. CDC’s VAERS reporting system to April 2014:

Disabled 1,129
Deaths 165
Did Not Recover 6,977
Abnormal Pap Smear 570
Cervical Dysplasia 241
Cervical Cancer 78
Life Threatening 627
Emergency Room 11,562
Hospitalized 3,614
Extended Hospital Stay 247
Serious 4,828
Adverse Events 34,700

Note the apparent failure of the vaccine’s key purpose: preventing cervical cancer, cervical dysplasia, or abnormal pap smears. Readers, who have children, need to check out the “Limitations of Gardasil Use and Effectiveness” here http://www.drugs.com/pro/gardasil.html.

It must be noted that further down in the above “Limitations” website under “Other Studies” we find this buried:

Data are insufficient to establish effectiveness of Gardasil in women 27 through 45 years of age.

Does that candid statement mean HPV vaccines do not protect women during those years even if/when they’ve taken the three-shot series in their teen years?

That disconcerting information coupled with the ‘chamber of horrors’ information for the HPV vaccine from the VAERS reporting history plus the SaneVax documentary, “Guard Yourself,”  indicate no one really has cause to celebrate, in this writer’s opinion.

Instead of being a godsend to preventive healthcare, the HPV vaccines—there are two, Gardasil® and Cervarix®—seemingly have become a ‘curse’ for both females ages 13 to 26 and males starting at age 11 or 12 [2], plus they apparently drive up the costs of healthcare from adverse side effects they induce on previously healthy individuals.

In a ScienceDaily report November 19, 2013, titled “Media coverage of HPV vaccine boosts reports of adverse effects,” the researchers apparently come to an obvious conclusion that CDC/FDA officials seemingly choose to ignore, i.e.,

The sheer volume of media coverage for the HPV vaccine versus the low coverage for the meningitis vaccine may have raised awareness of potential adverse events and the need to report them, said the authors. They suggest that public health communicators who explain vaccines need to pay closer attention to information spread in the media and online forums. [CJF emphasis added]

Paying attention to what’s happening to both boys and girls after HVP vaccinations is not being done regardless of the fact that HPV vaccine adverse events are reported to VAERS by parents and others! However, those reports may not be an accurate statistic, since only 1 to 10% of all vaccine adverse events are reported.

Former FDA Commissioner David Kessler observed in 1993 that less than 1 percent of doctors report adverse events following prescription drug use.21 There have been estimates that perhaps less than 5 or 10 percent of doctors report hospitalizations, injuries, deaths, or other serious health problems following vaccination. The 1986 Vaccine Injury Act contained no legal sanctions for not reporting; doctors can refuse to report and suffer no consequences. [4] [CJF emphasis added]

Footnote 21 citation: D. A. Kessler, “Introducing MEDWatch: A New Approach to Reporting Medication and Device Adverse Effects and Product Problems,” Journal of the American Medical Association 269, no. 21 (2 junio 1993): 2765–2768.

Apparently, MDs are negligent! The 1986 Vaccine Injury Act needs to be amended to mandate that MDs and other medical professionals report ALL vaccine adverse events under penalty of license forfeiture. Only when that happens, which Big Pharma will lobby against adamantly, will the true statistics of vaccine-induced-damage become accurate. As it stands now, statistically, we are dealing with “smoke and mirror-type” reporting.

Furthermore, the medical profession undeniably is at fault since (1) they ostensibly do not report all vaccine adverse events; and (2) they parrot and babble that whatever happens to an HPV vaccinee after vaccination merely is coincidence. Correlation just may be causation!

Ironically, the MD who worked on the HPV vaccine trials, Dr. Diane Harper, claims “we don’t know enough” for the kind of HPV recommendations being given. [3] Correspondingly, check out this discussion about HPV vaccines for boys. Make certain to click on the box for the video debate between Dr. Harper and Dr. Schaffner. Readers owe it to their children to take seriously what’s being said since those who should know better – the CDC/FDA and MDs – apparently don’t.

Sadly, this writer cannot extend congratulations or “best wishes” for what amounts to an apparent medical boondoggle perpetrated as medical science. So, instead of singing Happy Birthday, Gardasil®, I’ll have to say “My regrets” to everyone.
